HEALTH & BEAUTY

FiveFive Fitness | London

Jamie Smalley is a Personal Trainer. Based in London the competition in fitness is fierce. Jamie approached BakerSmith for an identity and website that would make him ‘stand out from the crowd'. After creating the identity and business stationery for his business we designed and edited Jamie's website with our Photographer, Johnny Greig, capturing the essence of how Jamie works in pictures.

Cheeky Chops | North Devon

‘Cheeky Chops' is a new concept in hair and beauty salons for kids (no adults allowed!). BakerSmith's brief was to create a logo that fitted the ‘fun' environment and utilised a child-like drawing. For flexibility, we produced two versions of the logo, the first being for print, and the second for signage and the web.

Eye Candy | London

A beautician approached BakerSmith for a name and identity for her new business. These were to be contemporary and stylish, geared mostly towards trendy young women. ‘Eye Candy' was chosen as a name that would be relevant to her intended market. The identity was developed around an illustration we created using ‘girly' colours and a modern typestyle.

ID Hair | London

This Wimbledon salon came to BakerSmith for a new name and identity. ‘i.d' best reflected the concept that was most popular among the hairdressers. The overall brand image and marketing materials were developed using some funky, contemporary photography courtesy of Wella. We have since created a first sub-brand, ‘i.d. barber express', demonstrating the flexibility of the original branding.

Nature Express | London

Nature Express, a retail and spa outlet offering health and beauty in relaxed surroundings, is a new concept for the high street. BakerSmith's brief was to create a stylish, simple and contemporary identity using natural colours throughout the interior. The chosen identity is soon to be applied to a chain of stores across London, and will also appear on the web.

LEISURE & HOSPITALITY

Passion Organic | London

Organic Express was a highly reputable organic catering company. When the two partners split, BakerSmith were contracted to create a corporate identity for the new name, ‘Passion Organic'. We offered a range of concepts – the one chosen strongly conveyed the passion and enthusiasm that drove the business and the company ethos.

MEDIA & MUSIC

Newton Print | Newton Abbot, Devon

Well established in the South West, and with clients throughout the UK, Newton Printers were aware that in the highly competitive print market their company image was letting them down. Previously known as ‘Newton Printers' their business image was out of date and their entire customer base didn't generally know the wide range of services they offer.

We changed their name to the more succinct ‘Newton Print' and worked with them to create a corporate identity that could stand up against the very stiff competition in the printing industry.

The identity has been implemented across signage, stationery, literature and direct mail as well as promotional items and calendars. We continue to provide our services to Newton for their regular marketing activity.

Bubbling Well Design | London

Bubbling Well is a greetings card company that asked BakerSmith to create an identity that reflected the name. Once the corporate identity had been completed and approved, we produced business stationery, a leaflet and templates for the reverse of the greetings cards.

CCK Media Technologies | London

CCK is a serious player in the supply of media. BakerSmith were invited to take part in a 4-way creative pitch for the company's re-brand. The chosen concept incorporates a fast-moving image of Central London, combined with a clean typographic logo and strong use of black. This combination is vibrant and modern, reflecting well the industries CCK now serve.

David Murphy | London

David Murphy is a classical conductor. BakerSmith's brief was to develop a corporate identity for him personally. This needed to be simple and stylish in its approach as well as immediately reflective of what he does. We produced a range of concepts. The chosen one had longevity in its appearance (another important consideration) and worked well both on the web and in print.

Johnny Greig | London

Johnny Greig is a photographer with considerable experience in portraits and still life. If you've got it, flaunt it! BakerSmith produced Johnny's identity in a way that showcases his work and talent. The business card acts as an immediate sales tool, with examples of both portraits and still life, and this theme is consistent throughout all his business stationery and advertising.

Shellie Lewis | Exeter, Devon

Shellie Lewis is an international female vocalist working throughout the UK and abroad. She urgently needed to produce packaging for a promotional CD and business cards. BakerSmith commissioned a photographer and stylist to make Shellie over and take studio shots. The chosen image was then selected for use on all Shellie's 2005 promotions, including new business cards and A3 posters.

Special Blends Promotions | London

Special Blend Promotions specialise in organising club nights and events. They urgently needed a business logo to be turned around in one day! The logo had to be trendy, simple and easy to apply to T-shirts, advertising and posters/postcards. BakerSmith swiftly developed a range of simple logo concepts, the client decided, and the artwork was produced and delivered before the day was out!

BUSINESS

A&P Sales Improvement | London

A&P offer sales training and telemarketing. They needed a flexible corporate image appropriate to both sides of the business. The solution was separate sales literature: BakerSmith designed and wrote the external copy for two folders, one for each of the two service areas. A&P can now use internal templates to create inserts for binding inside, avoiding the further costs of separate printing.

southeastern | London

BakerSmith are registered suppliers to southeastern, the London to Kent Rail Network. Working within their Brand Guidelines we regularly produce all different types of collateral for internal and external use, from brochures and invitations through to exhibition stands and newsletters.

Women in the City | London

Combining the tradition of the City of London with its vibrant present, the annual Women in the City Lunch is a unique occasion, bringing together over 300 like-minded businesswomen to enjoy good food, hear an inspirational speaker, have stimulating conversations, win prizes and have fun! The organizer, Gwen Rhys, approached BakerSmith to create an identity for the event. Following approval of this identity we created the website, programme, menu and invitations.

Metro languages | London

Metro Languages is a start-up language school. A tight budget necessitated an initial fact-finding meeting to agree company image, client's aspirations and target customers before committing to further expense. BakerSmith then designed a selection of concepts (encompassing ideas for tag lines) for presentation to the client. The chosen identity was developed and business stationery produced.

I had a concept of my business and a vision of the image I wanted to portray, but no idea of how this might translate into a corporate identity. After an initial consultation BakerSmith took care of the whole process of brand creation, from research and concept through visualisation of my corporate image. They came up with a variety of options but gave me always enough time to discuss their ideas and to choose the most appropriate concept without imposing their opinion. I have been consulted at every stage of the process and I'm delighted with the final result. I have no hesitation in recommending BakerSmith to anyone who is looking for a professional yet affordable design service.

Thorsten Mess, Metro Languages

Olivine | London

Olivine is an independent capital finance and specialist tax-advisory practice. They approached BakerSmith to create a modern and flexible corporate identity that would work for both companies. We developed a range of concepts, one of which was applied to all business stationery (printed and digital) and software presentations; we also provided the design and content for a web holding page.

We were extremely pleased with the logo and branding created for us by BakerSmith. Their innovative ideas enabled us to create a distinctive and original look.

Vanessa Rush, Olivine

OneSource | London

OneSource Information Services is a global information company. BakerSmith were brought in to ensure that the corporate guidelines and image, set down by the US head office, were adhered to in materials produced in and for the UK. Shaunsmith+co | London

Shaunsmith+co specialise in helping companies create a customer experience that differentiates their brand and creates customer loyalty. BakerSmith were given initial design concepts for fine-tuning and developing into a corporate identity that would work effectively in print and on the web. We produced a website (design and text) as well as business stationery, literature and presentation tools.

Three years ago, I approached BakerSmith with a scrap of paper and a doodle. Claire and her team transformed this into a brand identity, brochure and website design that have helped us to create real impact within our market, and within an affordable budget. Today, we're still working with BakerSmith for most of our new projects. Loyalty is probably the best endorsement anyone can give!

Janine Dyer, Marketing Director, shaunsmith+co

PSI Financial Projects | South East

PSI approached BakerSmith during their start-up period, their requirement being a Corporate Brochure. We wrote the content, designed and illustrated the brochure and commissioned our Photographer, Johnny Greig to take creative corporate shots of the Director for the introduction. We also bought and managed the print on behalf of this client, for what has been a very successful first piece of literature for PSI.

tea's me | Exeter

We were briefed to create clean, contemporary branding for Tea's Me - a start-up business based in Exeter making and selling Organic Herbal teas. After sampling the teas for ourselves - which are great by the way - we created a whole new identity for the business. This included business stationery and branding and packaging for the individual teas.

I am writing to thank you for producing the most wonderful designs for my herbal teas. Your designs perfectly create the right image and work so well with my text that I believe we have produced the best packaging possible to promote the products. I find BakerSmith professional to work with, as well as which you listened to my very decided views and worked with me to out my ideas into workable design solutions. As you know I am working on several more blends of tea and look forward to liasing with you again when they are ready to be launched.

Helen Lynch, tea's me

Stone Tools | South East

Stonetools are a well-established supplier of tools for the stone industry. Their original logo had been carved in stone by a stonemason then replicated by a typographer. However, this single colour, typographic depiction of their name was somewhat dated and Stonetools were finding that it was difficult to use for their promotional materials and catalogue, lacking the flexibility of a ‘logo'. Stonetools approached BakerSmith for an identity. We created a clean, contemporary logo that uses two colours and incorporates a graphic to help strongly position their  business within the industry.

A+D Supplies | Newton Abbot, Devon

A+D Supplies provides a huge range of Products to Hospitals, Universities and Colleges, Schools and larger businesses. PROPERTY

Credential | London

Credential Letts began as a lettings agency but is now also well established in property management and sales. They commissioned BakerSmith to re-name, re-position and re-brand the business to reflect this expansion. After we had researched the marketplace and the competition, it was decided to shorten the name to ‘Credential', redesign the logo and arrange high-level awareness advertising.

Higrade Hardware | Berkshire

Higrade provide complete hardware solutions for specifiers and contractors. Their brief was for the production of a stylish, contemporary piece of literature to act as an aide memoire and hand-out to their customers. The design was developed around beautiful photographs of their products, using architectural angles as a major design element that anchored the piece.

KBL Construction | Surrey

Property developers, KBL, approached BakerSmith needing sales literature and press advertising for a bespoke new build property to be marketed at £3.75 million. We wrote and produced a 20-page sales brochure to be mailed globally to potential buyers. Our project management expertise was employed in the overseeing of the content, photography and printing.

Eden Harper | London

Eden Harper had experienced real problems with the consistency of their old identity and came to BakerSmith to resolve this issue. Their existing logo had been produced in full colour, which was problematic, particularly when supplying to external agencies and publications. We re-branded Eden Harper, creating a more modern, two colour identity and brand guidelines to accompany it. The identity was rolled out across stationery, signage, boards, advertising and a direct mail campaign for both its offices.

Williams Murray | London

Williams Murray are a property company looking for development opportunities. Their principal work is with investors, vendors and developers, finding property and/or buyers. BakerSmith were briefed to create a contemporary, business-focused identity, distinct from an estate agent's. Our solution was to create a simple one-colour identity for all their business stationery and digital media.
